CIVIL Secures New Project from the Department of Highways Worth 2,488.37 Million Baht for New Road Construction on Highway No. 9, Section 4, Pathum Thani Province
CIVIL has taken on a new project for the construction of a new road along Highway No. 9 at Ban Bang Toey, connecting to Highway No. 3214 at Ban Phrao, Section 4, covering a distance of approximately 3.75 kilometers, valued at 2,488.37 million baht (including VAT). The Bridge Construction Bureau of the Department of Highways in Pathum Thani Province expects to gradually recognize revenue starting in the fourth quarter of 2024. This project aims to develop a route connecting the highway network under the master plan for the Chao Phraya River bridge in Bangkok and its vicinity, supporting the sustainable transportation system of the country.
Mr. Piyadit Asawasirisuk, CEO of Civil Engineering Public Company Limited (CIVIL), a leading comprehensive construction company in Thailand, announced that the company has secured a contract for the construction of a new road along Highway No. 9 at Ban Bang Toey, connecting to Highway No. 3214 at Ban Phrao, Section 4, between kilometer 4+750.000 and kilometer 8+500.000 in Pathum Thani Province, covering a distance of approximately 3.75 kilometers, valued at 2,488,372,000 baht (including VAT) through an electronic bidding process (e-bidding). The contract was signed between Civil Engineering Public Company Limited and the Bridge Construction Bureau of the Department of Highways.
The construction period is set for 1,080 days, from October 1, 2024, to September 15, 2027. The company has already signed the construction contract on October 1, 2024, and expects to gradually recognize revenue starting from the fourth quarter of 2024 onwards.
This project aims to develop a route to complete the highway network according to the development framework for the road network under the master plan for the Chao Phraya River bridge in Bangkok and its vicinity, addressing traffic issues and reducing accidents, while also supporting the development of the national transportation system and enhancing the country's competitive capabilities sustainably.
